Restaurant Nordstern in Münster

Hello, dear readers! Today I would like to tell you about a restaurant in Münster that I recently visited: the Restaurant Nordstern. The restaurant is part of the hostel of the same name and is located in the beautiful Kreuzviertel, near the Buddenturm. The restaurant is known for its regional delicacies and especially for its house specialty: the fried chicken.

I was there on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was busy but not crowded. I was greeted warmly and given a comfortable seat by a window. The menu offered a selection of different dishes, from salads and soups to schnitzels and burgers to vegetarian options. But of course I only had eyes for the fried chicken, which was available in different versions: classic, with herbs, with garlic or with curry. I chose the herb chicken with French fries and a side salad.

The wait was reasonable and my food arrived soon. The chicken was crispy, juicy and flavorful, the fries were hot; and crispy and the salad was fresh and crunchy. There were also three dips: a spicy sauce, a creamy sauce and a sweet and sour sauce. I tried all three and found them all delicious, but my favorite was the spicy sauce that went perfectly with the chicken. The food was plentiful and I was full and satisfied.

To drink I had a Jever on tap, which was well chilled and tasted refreshing. The restaurant also offers a selection of other draft beers as well as bottled beers, wines, soft drinks and coffee. The service was professional, attentive and courteous. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, with pleasant music in the background.
